Birds in the snow

It's still snowing here. Grandpa Charlie and I fed
the birds. The birds came flocking for the seeds

We are having a blizzard here today. A blizzard is a storm
with lots of snow. Grandpa Charlie has been out shoveling,
and I was awake in the middle of the night to see the snow
on all the lights.

Christmas tree

Hi Sibyl,

Grandpa Charlie and I went to get our Christmas tree. We put it
in the car to bring home. Then Grandpa Charlie put it on a stand
and brought it into the house. Next, we will decorate it.

Stocking

Hi Sibyl,

It's only going to be a week before we can see you here. Grandpa Charlie
and I are very excited about it. We will have a wonderful Christmas together.

I have a stocking for you. It has a big S for Sibyl and lots of little bells. You
will hang it by the fireplace on Christmas Eve. Perhaps there will be something
inside it on Christmas Day, the next morning.

Snow!

Hi Sibyl,

We had snow yesterday at our house. Grandpa Charlie and I watched it come down all
over the yard. Then we built a fire in the fireplace.

Take a look at the snow coming down, and the icy snow on the deck this morning.

When you come in December, we will build another fire in our fireplace for you.
